Business Development Manager – Amber LifeSciences

Role Overview

As the Business Development Manager, you will lead the expansion of Amber LifeSciences’ presence in the pharmaceutical and life sciences markets. This role focuses on sales strategy, market development, customer engagement, and team leadership. You will also

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Market Development

Achieve and exceed regional/territory sales targets.
Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels.
Expand customer base by engaging with doctors, hospitals, and healthcare providers.

2. Team Leadership & MR Management

Lead, guide, and motivate a team of Medical Representatives.
Train and support MRs on product knowledge, sales techniques, and compliance.
Monitor MR performance to ensure optimal territory coverage and sales results.

3. Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

Build and sustain strong relationships with healthcare professionals.
Conduct product presentations, CMEs (Continuing Medical Education), and scientific discussions.
Gather customer insights and market feedback to improve sales strategies.

4. Business Strategy & Execution

Collaborate with marketing and product management on promotional campaigns.
Analyze sales data, competitor activities, and market trends.
Provide regular reports, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management.

5. Compliance & Ethics

Ensure full adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field (MBA preferred).
5–10 years of Pharma Sales / Business Development experience, with 2+ years managing Medical Representatives.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical markets, products, and healthcare ecosystem.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze sales reports and implement strategic plans.
Proven record of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
